Open call to Queensland artists.

The State Library of Queensland has worked with award-winning digital artist Jason Nelson to create the Flood and Cyclone Mosaic as a way to showcase these diverse images – a tapestry of recent events through the eyes of Queenslanders. The project aims to collect photos from people and communities affected by disaster, a digital visual record of what happened to share with current and future generations, as a way of remembering, learning, understanding and healing.

Anyone in Queensland can contribute photos through this site, or at one of 60 libraries across 10 disaster-affected Queensland regions helping to collect photos from their areas.

The Flood and Cyclone Mosaic will be on display as one part of the Floodlines exhibition at State Library from 24 March to 13 May 2012. More information http://mosaic.slq.qld.gov.au/2011/11/07/hello-world/
