Many Musos, Many gigs, One Cause

Currently in East Africa there is a drought and famine that is affecting approximately 13.3 million people, 4.14 million of these being children.

A simple solution
Money. This is the solution. Money will enable aid agencies such as UNICEF to buy crucial medical supplies and appropriate foodstuffs, and then ensure that this aid gets to where it is needed. And UNICEF will ensure that 90 cents out of every dollar donated reaches the children of East Africa.

How do we help?
Easy peasy! In the developed world we spend money like it means nothing!! A coffee here, a pack of chips there – this money could save someone’s life!!!
BUT!! We’re not asking you to change your everyday habits – our idea is simple:
1. Musos organise a normal gig between Friday 16th and Sunday 18th of December. They agree to play just as they normally would at the venue of their choice.
2. They play the gig as normal, but instead of keeping the performance fee, they donate it to UNICEF’s East Africa Emergency Appeal
3. Punters who attend the gig can also choose to donate to UNICEF’s East Africa Crisis Appeal by going to the UNICEF website.
4. That is it!!! HOW FRICKING SIMPLE IS THAT???!!!
