February 11, 2013 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm
Bindarri has been lucky enough to organise an extra Melbourne show for the amazing BeeHive Design Collective (Canada) and HipHop activist Testament
Sakura from BeeHive Design Collective will be presenting their latest mural titled “The True Cost of Coal” in large format.
Sakura will tell the story that is illustrated with loving detail within the mural of Appalachia’s (Canada) history in context to coal and the communities fight for a positive future. The creation of the story involved over two and half years of research in their local community as well as the story crafting and refinement.
See the mural in detail here: www.beehivecollective.org/english/coal.htm
In support of the Beehive Design Collective, Testament will drop some rhymes of revolutionary Hip Hop to make the night more festive.
We will also hear briefly from a Melbourne NGO discussing the related issues in Australia and what you can do about it.
Next Monday Lunchtime (12:30) at Hub Melbourne
