Visioning 2032: The Films – victorian eco innovation lab

What could a sustainable neighborhood in Melbourne look like? How could we transform a number of our existing urban communities through design ‘interventions’?

The animated films are a culmination of four years’ worth of work by students and staff from Swinburne University, RMIT University, Monash University and the University of Melbourne, as well as from Melbourne design professionals. Each presents a different area of sustainable design innovation.

Beyond Zero Emissions’ Zero Carbon Australia Buildings Plan – can you help?

Beyond Zero Emissions is commencing preparation for a Zero Carbon Australia Buildings Plan for an anticipated release in August 2011. The ZCA2020 Buildings Plan aims to demonstrate that there are no technical barriers to zero emission buildings in Australia. The Buildings Plan will also seek to quantify the maximum reduction in energy consumption achievable by implementing cost effective energy efficiency measures in all existing and new buildings.
