The Women’s Salon is an annual themed exhibition showcasing the contemporary artistic practice of women living or working in the Moreland area. In 2009, the exhibition celebrates the ideas, stories and things that sustain us and give us hope for the future.
13 artists have collaborated in a unique project to express a mutual love of and concern for the future of the rugged Bass Coast and a safe climate. Artworks will be sold through a silent auction which will raise funds to build community awareness about the proposed desalination plant in Wonthaggi.
The exhibition will be shown at Northcote’s Synergy Gallery for a second showing, beginning Friday the November 28 and concluding on the November 30.
