Callout for Film Submissions: Australian Human Rights Arts and Film Festival

Submissions are now open for the annual Australian Human Rights Arts and Film Festival. All emerging and established filmmakers are invited to submit their music videos, shorts, features, documentaries and experimental film for the 2010 program. The only criterion is that the film engages with human rights and social justice issues. There is also over $5000 worth of cash and prizes up for grabs!

Earlybird Deadline – 29 October: $15
Final Deadline – 10 December: $20

The first Secret Life of Things animation launched

The first animation in the series called Life Pscycle-ology which explores the secret life of a little mobile phone called Eric. Watch it here

On the project website there is also 15 free resources for educators teaching design. The resources include case studies, fact sheets and games that can be downloaded and used for free! Check it out here

The Secret Life of Things – Life cycle thinking and ecodesign Launch

The Secret Life of Things is a short animated video series exploring the hidden environmental impacts of everyday things. It promotes life cycle thinking and decision making in design. The animations are supported by an EcoDesign resource pack that includes educational materials for design students and businesses wanting to upskill in life cycle thinking and ecodesign.
