In 1983 permaculture co-originator David Holmgren responded to the tragic Ash Wednesday fires with a project called The Flywire House. As a contribution to the rebuilding of devastated communities, Holmgren Design Services have decided to make Flywire House available as a free download.
Brunswick Street Gallery is holding a charity art auction on Tuesday 3 March at 6pm to raise money for the victims of the Victorian bushfires. All proceeds will go to the Red Cross.
Bruno‘s home and art gallery were completely destroyed in the blaze, with Bruno only managing to save a handful of paintings. The damage to the main attraction, the sculpture garden, is yet to be discerned as we are unable to return to Marysville until the police have finished investigating the scene and identifying the remains of those who perished in the fire.
