2010 Future Shots Sustainability Film Challenge Winners!

Congratulations to eleven-year-old Cara Thomas who took out the Sustainability Victoria Award for Best Film at Future Shots 2010. Cara’s film Control Your Carbon Dioxides was named the best sustainability-themed film by a young Victorian at the December 15 awards night, held at ACMI Cinemas. Factory farming film among Voiceless award winners

Animal protection institute Voiceless gave out almost $200,000 in funding at its annual awards last Thursday night. Among the beneficiaries was a documentary, The Bust, which will expose the horrors of Australia’s factory farming industry… Free-to-air television current affairs programs picked up both winner and runner-up in the annual Voiceless Media Prize. BZE win Banksia Environmental Award

Beyond Zero Emissions (BZE) won this year’s Australian Environmental Research Award for the Zero Carbon Australia 2020 Stationary Energy Plan. Bindarri worked with BZE in running workshops to design this Plan. We will be doing more workshops with BZE in the near future. Stay tuned for updates.

Quicksmart Homes Wins Sustainability Award

Quicksmart Homes have won an ACT Sustainable Cities Award for their contribution to sustainable development. They designed and created a prefab student housing project for Laurus Wing at the Australian National University (ANU).
