ActionAid Australia & AFAP Action on Poverty

Win a trip to Africa!

Into photography? ActionAid Australia and AFAP Action on Poverty are looking for a talented photographer with a passion for global issues to travel to Kenya and Zimbabwe and tell the story of the farmers and communities we work with.

Across the world, food is fundamental to human life and yet food is one of the greatest areas of inequality and injustice. We all have a basic human right to food, however factors such as gender, access to land and markets, and climate change determine whether this right is actually met.

This photography competition will give these farmers and communities a voice, showcasing their strength, resilience, ingenuity and courage in overcoming poverty. The images will be helping to raise awareness in Australia about the crucial issue of food security and motivate Australians to get involved in supporting long term solutions.

Competition closes 1st August 2012. To find out more, have a look at How to EnterThe Brief, The Prizes and the Selection Criteria.
