REmida WA

REmida collects industrial discards from shops and factories around Perth, and makes these materials available to schools, childcare centres, artists and families. Come and visit us and see what we have to offer; come have a play or lend a hand, bring your kids!

We also run workshops and activities for schools and festivals using our materials, and run professional development workshops for teachers about how to use recycled materials in the classroom.

Our aim is to encourage children and adults to think creatively about waste materials, finding new ways of thinking about waste.

The Repair Workshops – broken stuff repaired and upcycled

July 29, 2011 to July 31, 2011

The Repair Workshops is a creative, interactive exploration of the power of repair. Guided by professional artists, designers and engineers, your broken items will get repaired or – if they can’t be fixed – completely reimagined!

To celebrate and demonstrate all the creative feats of repairing, we will be launching the two days of public workshops on Friday 29th July from 6pm.

The Launch will include speeches and a live auction of created works with all proceeds going to Environment Victoria. Check out: www.therepairworkshops.com
