The Design Green Project was inaugurated to give designers and artists an outlet to participate in a one-of-a-kind project by being part of the solution, rather than the problem, of the Global Warming Crisis. This project, in summary, is a design competition and an way to raise money for a good cause. Design Providence has won the “Design green” Award for their Personal Shopping Vehicle, Landor Associates won the Packaging awarde for their Cascade Green Packaging and also gained an honourable mention.
Friends of the Earth International announces the launch today of its annual photo competition, which will gather photos from around the world on the theme of “Biodiversity Lost, Biodiversity Preserved”.
The best shots will be featured in a series of materials we will launch in conjunction with the 2010 UN International Year of Biodiversity, including a calendar and an international photo exhibition.
